"Nothing says 'the south' more to me than Palm Trees. I love to paint them, probably because of my graphic art training years ago. Everything is so linear with graphic art and I'm attracted to those shapes in Palm Trees. Though each one takes over a month of daily painting to finish because of the detail required and my impressionism style using multi layers of color for depth and interest. I haven't finished my palm series yet, but Oak trees, that other southern tree, with lots and lots of Spanish Moss, will be my next series. I hope you enjoy this journey with me and perhaps are inspired to own a painting of mine to help take you there!"
